JOB DESCRIPTION:

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Albus Home RD is an award-winning device that remotely monitors nocturnal symptoms and environmental metrics, without anyone having to do or wear anything. This opens up exciting opportunities in clinical trials and healthcare. Soon after launching in 2019, we secured a contract from one of the world’s largest pharma companies in the respiratory space to support one of their clinical trials. We are now looking for an ambitious salesperson to lead sales in the clinical trial market across Europe.

Albus Health is an Oxford University spinout company, led by a team of industry-leading technical, clinical and commercial experts, including the Head of Respiratory Medicine at University of Oxford and the former CEO of CRF Health, a global medical devices provider to top 20 pharma companies. In less than three years, we have received several awards, including three InnovateUK awards and the AI in Health and Care award announced by the Secretary of the State for Health at the London Tech Week in September 2020.

 

We are now moving from early adoption to a rapid growth phase in the company. We are looking for a full-time Business Development Lead to grow sales across top 30 pharmaceutical companies in Europe. Essential Criteria:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, of which 2+ years to pharmaceutical companies

  • Experienced in the full sales lifecycle from market research through to deal structuring and contracting.

  • Experience sourcing leads and opportunities

  • Ability to give product demos and answer first-level technical questions

  • Experience in selling novel products and developing sales playbooks from scratch

  • Understanding of clinical trial processes and phases

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical organisational structures and key decision-makers within them

  • Strong network in the industry

  • Ability to build relationships with senior professionals, including senior academics

 

Desirable Criteria:

 

  • Degree in basic sciences or STEM

  • Experience in medical device sales

  • Deep understanding of respiratory medicine, care or devices

  • Track record of leading sales in an SME and building a team

  • Contacts with key opinion leaders in respiratory research

  • Experience in international sales

  • Fluency in one or more of French, German, Italian or Spanish

How will be you compensated?

 

You will be compensated with a combination of a competitive base salary and performance based bonuses.
